Are you familiar with the company Liquid Death?

You should be.

They recently achieved a $700 million dollar valuation.

What do they sell? Water in a can.

Hardly revolutionary. They didn't even start with flavored water. Just regular water.

They represent a shifting tide in CPG. It used to be that branding was mostly functional, and the product did the talking.

That's no longer the case. Now, product matters only to the extent that it doesn't offend. Branding matters way more.

The Idea

With this idea you can alleviate a common pain point, and develop a really fun brand at the same time.

Products for single people.

Here's what I mean. When I go to the grocery store, everything is in portions designed for families.

I have to buy a bunch of like 6 bananas. I never eat them all before they go bad.

Bread comes in massive loaves that always end up moldy.

Hot dog buns come in packs of like 12.I think it would be a lot of fun to create a nice brand that in a kind of tongue-in-cheek way sells products for single people.

Obviously you wouldn't actually produce these products, you'd just buy them wholesale and put them in your packaging in the desired portions.

I bet you could get really high adoption amongst the single crowd.

And it doesn't just have to be food (although consumables are the place where this pain is most often felt). You could sell flatware sets with 2 plates and 1 bowl. Or individual coasters. There are lots of fun ideas here.
