Digitized Tithing

A platform for churches

The Background

Isn't it weird that churches haven't embraced technology yet?

Most still have either a gross website from the 70s or just a Facebook page. That's a huge opportunity.

Ideas like this, right in your inbox.

Let's be honest. You don't want to have to come to our site every time you want a new idea. Let us send ideas like this one right to your email, for free, every week.

The Idea

So here's the idea.

A platform for churches. Here are some of the features:

1. Digitized tithing. Should parishioners not be expected to donate just because they're sick one week? Or they don't have any cash on them? This platform would allow churches to collect donations from their paritioners digitally. They could also setup weekly subscriptions.

As part of this digital donation system, it would also allow the church to:

  • Display the projects they're currently collecting for, with a progress bar
  • Display the top donors for the month / year
  • Solicit votes for what projects / charities the money should go towards

2. Events. Promote the different events that the church is sponsoring, and allow people to signup / RSVP / volunteer for different positions.

3. Post electronic sermons / livestream. If people are sick and can't be there in person, this would allow the church to host a livestream of the service. It would also allow parishioners to go back and watch services / read content from past services.
